Knights of Columbus 2026 Free Throw Basketball Championship

In February, Lumen Christi basketball teams had the opportunity to participate in the 2026 Free Throw Basketball Championship sponsored by the local Mequon Knights of Columbus Council at Lumen Christi. The contest is held for 9-14 years old girls and boys by age level. The Knights of Columbus recognizes the value and reward of education through Catholic schools throughout Wisconsin. This sponsorship offers to an enhance that education through a friendly, but competitive athletic activity for young people. 

The local Lumen Christi winners were announced at a school assembly on February 24. Winners received Olympic style medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. The 1st and 2nd place winners will move up to the next level of competition – Milwaukee Archdiocesan Free Throw Championship. This will be held April 11 at St. Margaret Mary School in Milwaukee. Feel free to come and support your student athletes. Congratulations to all winners and participants!
