Opportunities for growth and fellowship abound at Lumen Christi Parish! We encourage each member to get involved in the life of the parish, for it is the Body of Christ. We have countless ways you might choose to share your time and talent. Whether it be in the area of Prayer and Worship, Stewardship, Catholic Formation, Human Concerns, Parish Life, Discerned Roles, or through the School, we invite you to consider getting involved in a ministry that allows you to share your spiritual gifts with others.

Share Your Hospitality: Join Our Greeter or Usher Team
We are blessed with a parish community known for its warmth and welcome! You can help continue that spirit by serving as a Greeter or Usherat weekend Masses.
Greeters offer the first warm welcome to all who arrive for worship, helping set the tone of joy and belonging in our parish.
Ushers not only welcome parishioners but also assist with seating, collections, communion flow, and caring for our worship space. Ushers serve on teams that rotate every other month, and we are happy to welcome those who would like to try serving during the summer.
Training is provided, and the time commitment is flexible.
To learn more, please reach out to Stephanie Kapta in the parish office.
Miss Kate needs your help with projects
Child Ministry is looking for a variety of volunteers to assist with some special projects this summer to help teach the faith to our youngest parishioners!
Artists and sewers for small projects for the children.
Organizers to help put together supplies for next year.
Woodworkers to create small projects for the children to use during VBS and as teaching aids for storytelling.
Please contact Kate Heinzman in the parish office if you can help the parish with your gifts!
In Our Parish
As followers of Jesus Christ, we are moved by the Holy Spirit to serve our fellow parishioners. At Lumen Christi Parish, there are opportunities for people of all ages and lifestyles to share their gifts in service to one another.
Parish life ministries get parishioners together for fun, faith, fellowship and service. Small groups are also a great way to find community, build community and make our large church feel like home. They are formed as book clubs, bible studies and outreach to the needy, providing emotional support and loving service to the community. Small groups meet weekly, bi-monthly or monthly.
In Our Community
Lumen Christi serves the Mequon-Thiensville local community and greater Ozaukee and Milwaukee Counties through participation in a number of charitable outreach efforts that are rooted to the corporal and spiritual works of mercy.
Our Ministries Handbook provides opportunities to serve within our parish under the headings of Prayer and Worship, Stewardship, Catholic Formation, Human Concerns, Discerned Roles, and Parish Life. (The Ministries Handbook is currently being updated, so some information is outdated. Please call the parish office with questions.)
