Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe
On Friday, December 12th, the Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of the Americas and of the unborn. A beautiful mosaic of Our Lady of Guadalupe graces the south wall of our church. On December 12th, Lumen Christi parishioners are invited to attend one of two special celebrations.
At the regular 8:30 AM Mass here — in English as usual — we will sing some Spanish and English Guadalupe songs along with other familiar hymns. We will place roses before the image of Mary.
In the evening, we will be traveling to St. Hyacinth in Milwaukee to celebrate with our local twinning partner! Join our twinning committee and our parish music ministers for the 7 PM Mass, featuring combined choirs, Aztec dancers, mariachi musicians, all followed by hospitality and... tamales! Sign up at the welcome desk if you'd like to ride the bus.
