Pope Leo XIV has proclaimed an extraordinary Jubilee Year in honor of the 800th anniversary of the death of St. Francis of Assisi, to be observed until January 10, 2027. In this special year of grace, this pilgrimage provides an opportunity for the faithful to encounter Our Lord, embrace the spirit of peace and humility that marked the life of Francis, and renew their witness to the Gospel in the world today.

Canticle of Creation Pilgrimage

Catholic Ecology Center (W1468 County Road NN, Neosho, WI 53059)Join us for the Canticle of Creation Pilgrimage in honor of the Franciscan Jubilee Year and celebrated on the Feast of St. Francis! Take the opportunity to deepen your faith and care for God’s creation as a parish community through meaningful prayer, reflection, and engaging activities at the Catholic Ecology Center. Includes Mass on-site with Fr. Patrick Behling, who is serving as the pilgrimage chaplain. Registration is required by October 2. !
This pilgrimage is designed to engage everyone - individuals and families. Adults of all ages, teens, and families with young children. (Please note: children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.)The CEC is an official pilgrimage site for the Jubilee Year and this pilgrimage will include all of the necessary components to receive the Jubilee Plenary Indulgence. (What are indulgences?) With all of our parishioners’ generous donations, we are able to offer this ministry as a free event to the entire parish community. Thank you!

Schedule
- 11:00 AM: Check in at the Catholic Ecology Center (CEC)
- 11:15 AM: Mass presided by Fr. Patrick Behling (fulfills Sunday Obligation)
- Noon: Lunch (provided)
- 12:30 PM: CEC Orientation & Guided Hike
- 1:30-3:00 PM: Create Your Own Adventure with self guided activities
- 3:00 PM: Close in prayer
- 3:30 PM: Pilgrimage concludes (stay & continue to play or head home)

Who is this for?EVERYONE! This pilgrimage is designed to engage everyone - individuals and families. Adults of all ages, teens, and families with young children. Please note: children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

What you’ll need to bring:A heart open to the Lord & ready for adventure, sunglass or rainboots (we go rain or shine), as well as 1 non-perishable food* item per person.
*Providing nonperishable food items to serve the local food pantry is an act of mercy, which is one of the requirements for pilgrims to obtain an plenary indulgence. -
Travel OptionsCARPOOL: In efforts to be environmentally friendly, we are encouraging carpooling! Also, the parking lot has limited space. We appreciate volunteers to be drivers and will do our best to connect people who are willing to drive with those who need a ride.
INDEPENDENT: For families or those who need more flexibility with their timing, driving yourself (& your family) is a welcomed option.
