Thank you, Lumen Christi

Praise the Lord from whom all blessings flow & His love endures forever (Ps. 136). 

For the past four years I have spent my breaks and weekends with the Catholic community of Lumen Christi. These years have been full of solemn liturgies serving as a server and for the last year a deacon, confirmation retreats, Catholic faith formation, Love Begins Here mission trips, baptisms, visits to the schools, and dinners in the evening. Here at Lumen Christi the priesthood has come alive in my heart. 

I entered the seminary six years ago with the call of the priesthood on my heart, and it was at Lumen Christi that I learned that God made my heart to love through the vocation to the priesthood. The priest sets aside his life and offers spiritual sacrifices for the flock entrusted to him. I desire to be united to Christ in this way and live for Him alone! I have seen the joy of the Gospel and following Christ intimately these past six years and now the next part of my journey begins. 

Thank you for the support and prayers you have shared with me the past four years! Please pray for me, that I become a priest after the heart of Jesus Christ, who I love and desire to bring people to – to be a bridge that unites God and His children. Thank you – I will miss you all. God bless!
