High School Summer Outreach: Part 2

• “On Love Begins Here, I found a new home. I found a place where I can be myself and not be judged for where I’m at in my faith. I encountered God through the people I worked with - the other missionaries I was with really matched my energy, were encouraging, and made me feel appreciated and loved even with people I’m not that close with. My favorite part of LBH were the laughs. My outgoing personality was more than accepted and allowed me to create so many amazing memories. Also my craziness won a scavenger hunt!” - Neela
• “On LBH I encountered God in my car group, in strangers who gave us directions, and in the hospitality of those we served. Also in the teamwork we had not only with my car group, but cooperating with other groups too. My favorite part of LBH was seeing Anne and Alyssa again (friends made last year) and becoming closer than I was before with them, but also becoming closer with members of my parish.” - Hannah
• “On LBH I learned to serve people in different ways in the name of the Lord. I found a new family of people I met, even if it was only a week. I encountered God in all the people I served, who presented us gifts even if we came with no intention of receiving anything in return for our service. My favorite part was finally understanding how to connect to God, without it needing to be only Sunday Mass.” - Tatjana
• “On LBH I encountered God… everywhere. I saw God everywhere I went even in just the trees, dirt, grass, anything. Just by knowing that that is God’s creation. I also saw God in all the people we met - through their generosity. My favorite parts were meeting new people, working with my car group, swimming at the pool, prayer time, Adoration, and confession. I felt so much better after going to confession and I felt so relieved, almost as if there’s a new light rekindled and shining within me, a gift from our Lord.” - Grace
